Hi, I’m Mrs. VanPelt! I am incredibly honored and excited to be American River Collegiate Academy’s 1st grade teacher! I love every second of being a part of this wonderful school family! 

 

Teaching is my absolute passion. Becoming an educator was a career I had my heart set on since I was a little girl. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education with a minor in Child Development as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at California State University of Chico. I have been a primary grade teacher for the past eleven years and I absolutely love it!  I love being a teacher and providing a safe, nurturing environment that students feel supported and excited to learn! 

I live in Rocklin with my husband and our 1 year old daughter, Jordyn. We love being a part of this community and are proud to raise our family here! I love being outdoors whether it's near the water, up in the mountains or out in the desert. Hiking, boating, and enjoying time with family and friends are also things I love to do. 

 

I can’t wait to meet all the wonderful students and families at American River! I am looking forward to learning, growing and having fun with my 1st Grade Otters!
