Dear Parents and Caregivers,

 

As we gear up for a fantastic  school year at American River Collegiate Academy, I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your child's third-grade teacher, Mrs. Hamann. Allow me to share a bit more about who I am and the warmth I bring to our upcoming educational journey.

 

I'm not only passionate about teaching but also find joy in being a mom to two wonderful daughters who are two and one. Their laughter and curiosity inspire me daily, emphasizing the significance of a nurturing environment for young learners. This understanding fuels my commitment to creating a classroom atmosphere that promotes growth and fosters a sense of family. In addition, I believe in the power of a strong partnership between home and school, and I'm eager to collaborate with you to ensure the best possible educational experience for your child.

 

Academically, I received both my bachelor's degree and teaching credential from Sacramento State, providing me with a solid foundation for effective teaching practices. I hope to enhance my teaching and grow as an educator as I embark on my master’s journey this year at Sacramento State. My background includes valuable experience working with students ranging from kindergarten to third grade, reinforcing my dedication to the crucial early years of education.

 

Beyond family and teaching, I find balance and joy in various hobbies. I love to spend my time playing with my children, running, playing board games, and reading! I am also a lover of coffee and music. I cannot wait to learn about your children’s interests and joys as I get to know them better throughout the rest of the year. 

 

As we embark on a journey this school year together, I'm excited to infuse my love for learning into our classroom. Open communication is key, and I look forward to working closely with each family to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
