Principal's Message
The heart of our educational program is the Core Knowledge curriculum. Core Knowledge and the Common Core standards contribute to the creation of interactive lessons developed around core concepts of learning. The core concepts and topics covered at each grade are solid, specific, sequenced across the TK-12th grade learning continuum, and respectfully celebrate diversity. The Core Knowledge curriculum encompasses all academic core subjects, then reaches beyond to include education in music and art. Additionally, our students are provided innovative learning opportunities through the use of school provided technology in the classroom. Our students are incredibly fortunate to have access to such a rigorous, comprehensive, and balanced education!
American River Collegiate Academy is built on the foundation of partnership and collaboration between students, parents, and staff. Our student centered vision and approach is grounded in the belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels. Our school site offers students, TK-4th grade, the opportunity to build character, learn leadership skills, and become engaged citizens at our school site and in their home communities. The expectations for all members of our school community are focused on demonstrating respectful, responsible, safe, and resourceful behavior. Through these actions, we will RISE and grow together!
