Bio
I am honored to serve as the 5th grade teacher at American River Collegiate Academy. Now in my second year at ARCA, I’m excited to continue building strong connections with students, families, and colleagues as we embark on another enriching school year together. Teaching is not just my profession—it’s my passion, and I feel truly fortunate to do what I love each day.
I spent 14 amazing years teaching 5th and 6th grade in Utah before taking a short break. During that time, I realized just how much I missed the classroom, and I’m so happy to be back doing what I love most. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a teaching credential from Southern Utah University, as well as a Gifted and Talented Endorsement from Utah State University.
In my personal life, I am incredibly lucky to have a wonderful husband and a bright, energetic 7-year-old son, whom I proudly call my bonus son. When we became an instant family in 2020, one of my biggest dreams came true.
My love for learning and personal growth is a guiding force in both my life and my teaching. I’m goal-driven and passionate about creating a classroom environment that is warm, welcoming, and inclusive—a place where every student feels seen, heard, and valued.
I am deeply grateful for the many amazing students I’ve had the honor of teaching and the relationships I’ve built with their families. I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child, and I’m honored to be part of that village here at ARCA.
