Bio
I am so excited to join the American River Collegiate Academy community as a first-grade teacher! My name is Ms. Vrechek (pronounced “Vree-chek), and I look forward to a year full of curiosity and growth. I strive to create an inclusive classroom environment where strong relationships and high expectations help students feel safe, engaged, and excited to learn.
I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching Language Arts from San Diego State University. Before becoming an elementary teacher, I taught English in Colombia, an experience that deepened my love of language, literacy, and connecting with people from different backgrounds. First grade holds a special place in my heart because it is a year of incredible growth as students build foundational skills while discovering just how capable they are.
I am originally from Placerville and am excited to be back in the foothills (and so close to Lake Tahoe!). Outside of teaching, I love travelling, hiking, thrifting, and trying new vegetarian recipes!
I can't wait to get to know the students and families of American River Collegiate Academy and work together to make this a fantastic school year!
