Hello! My name is Alice Piper. I am an Education Specialist who came to work at Rocklin Academy in January 2020 and joined the staff at American River Collegiate Academy in the fall of 2021. It has been exciting to join a new community and watch our Charter School grow. I am looking forward to working with students, parents, and staff this year along with the special education team.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from San Francisco State University with dreams of working in radio and television, but ultimately followed the path of both of my parents in education. My husband and I moved from Napa after 31 years where I started out as an instructional aide before going back to school at Touro University to get my teaching credential. While in Napa I taught high school and elementary students with mild/moderate disabilities. I also taught ESL at the adult school.

Prior to teaching my husband and I were licensed foster parents for many years. My husband of 42 years and I live in Rocklin and have three grown children and five grandchildren. I enjoy reading, quilting, and going for walks. I also enjoy volunteering at my church and a local radio station (coming back to my original plan). I am looking forward to a great year of helping students reach their potential in light of their challenges in 2022-2023.
